Quest for Nephilim Lord Shield

A monster-world item is now available for players on La2World. Usually used as a skin for shields or sigils, and in rare cases — for hiding in the terrain.

Running PvP-world quests on La2world is fun and dangerous — let’s start the run.

How do you get Nephilim Lord Shield in Lineage 2?  The quest has three main stages:

  1. Who, where, and what to do first
  2. Lock it in with training
  3. Quest finale

 

Part 1: Who and where.

Easier to do as a noblesse, because you have a TP to Ketra Orc Village.

First, take the Alliance with Ketra quest by talking to Wahkan:

You can get there via TP to Ketra Orc Outpost from Goddard. Then hit Alt+B -> Goddard -> noblesse TP Ketra Orc Village. Right there find Kadun Zu Ketra:

because he has the War with Varka Silenos quest for us.

Then fly Alt+B leveling 76-80 or TP from Goddard to Varka Silenos Camp. Run straight onto the clearing — the mobs you need are waiting.

For alliance lvl 1 you need 100 Varka Silenos soldier badges varka_badge_soldier_alliance_with_ketra_orcs_pvp_la2world. Hunt: Varka Silenos Recruits, Varka Silenos Footmen, Varka Silenos Scouts, Varka Silenos Hunters and Varka Silenos Shamans. If a samurai has no destination, only a path — you can farm 500 badges right away, they won’t disappear — but I suggest otherwise, more on that below.

Part 2: Limbo.

Go back to Wahkan, turn in the quest, take the new one for lvl 2. Plan now: 200 soldier badges and 100 officer varka_badge_captain_alliance_with_ketra_orcs_pvp_la2world, so fly to Varka Silenos Outpost, but run back into the arch — more mobs there. Go up; there are 3 spots. Kill: Varka’s Commander and his pack, Varka Silenos Priest, Varka Silenos Warrior, Varka Silenos Medium. Soldier and officer badge drop is about 1 to 1. After farming 200 officer you’ll also have 200 soldier, which you’ll need later.

Hunt targets:

Then back to Wahkan again — turn in, take the new one for lvl 3. Home stretch: 300 soldier badges, 200 officer and 100 general varka_badge_general_alliance_with_ketra_orcs_pvp_la2world. Noblesse TP to Varka Silenos Village, run right and down. A tunnel and 2 spots — farm 100 generals from Varka Silenos General, Varka’s Prophet, Varka’s Head Magus, Varka Silenos Great Magus, Varka Silenos Great Seer, then go to the officer spot you visited earlier.

Hunt targets:

Part 3: Light at the end of the tunnel.

Once you have all the badges, run to Wahkan and get Ketra Orc alliance lvl 3. Meanwhile you already have about 1000 Varka manes varka_mane_battle_against_varka_war_with_silenos_pvp_la2world from Kadun Zu Ketra’s quest, because you took it in advance. Noblesse TP to Ketra Orc Village, turn in the quest (2nd line) and — this is the important part — get 200+ horns.

Open the shop at Jumara:

trader_jamura_villadge_alliance_with_ketra_orcs_pvp_la2world

 and you’ll see the shield we want, now available for purchase from NPC Trader Jumara for 200  Horn of Buffalo Horn_of_Buffalo_pvp_la2world. Reminder: shop access unlocks at Alliance lvl 3 alliance_with_ketra_orcs_pvp_la2world.

The trader also sells  … but that’s another story.

Bottom line: from the moment you take the alliance quest, do not hit Ketra Orcs — even with party members in party — because every hit/kill of an orc drops one alliance level and cancels the quest. You can still kill RBs, which is nice. We need them for another quest.
