Wolf quest “Get a Pet”

In Lineage 2 a char can get various pets — some can fight, some are for fast travel. This quest gives you a wolf.

Quest walkthrough

1 The quest starts in Gludin Village at NPC Pet Manager Martin. Talk to him and get Animal Slayer’s list. Depending on your race you get a different version of this list, so you hunt different animals in different zones.

 

Humans. You get Animal Slayer’s 1st List. Go to Talking Island Village Talking Island, northern part. Hunt: Giant Spider, Talon Spider and Blade Spider until you farm 50 Bloody Fang. These mobs are lvl 15-17, there are plenty all over the zone, but the items don’t drop from every kill.

 

Elves. You get Animal Slayer’s 2nd List. Go to Elven Village Elven Forest, run a bit south and find: Crimson Spider, Hook Spider and Pincer Spider. Farm 50 Bloody Claw.

 

Dark Elves. You get Animal Slayer’s 3rd List. Fly to Dark Elven Village Swampland. Hunt: Lesser Dark Horror, Dark Horror and Prowler until you farm 50 Bloody Nail.

 

Orcs. You get Animal Slayer’s 4th List. Fly to Orc Village Frozen Waterfall. Run down the map until you find Kasha Spider, Kasha Fang Spider and Kasha Blade Spider. Farm 50 Bloody Kasha Fang.

 

Dwarves. You get Animal Slayer’s 5th List. Fly to Dwarven Village Northern Coast, Abandoned Mine.  Hunt Hunter Tarantula and Plunder Tarantula, farm 50 Bloody Tarantula Nail.

 

Kamael. You get Animal Slayer’s List. Fly to Kamael Village Nornil’s Cave, find Crimson Spider, farm 50 Bloody Red Claw.

2. After you farm the items, return to Gludin Village and talk to Martin. He asks you to talk to three NPCs. You need important info from them, so read carefully what they tell you:

  1. Go to Town of Gludio, talk to Gatekeeper Bella.
  2. Go to Town of Dion, run to the south gate and find Guard Metty.
  3. Go to Town of Giran and talk to Trader Ellie in the Jewelry Shop.

After talking to all of them, return to Martin and take the quiz. You have to answer some questions — those answers are what you got from the previous three NPCs. Answer correctly and you get Wolf Collar. If you answer wrong, Martin sends you back through the three NPCs to get the info again.

 

After you get the wolf, don’t forget to buy food and gear for it — right there, from Martin.

How to get a mount wolf

 

Level the wolf to 55, then take it to any Pet Manager. In the dialog pick “Evolve pet”, then “Exchange wolf for Great Wolf“, after that Great Wolf Necklace (summon item) appears in inventory. Level it to 70 and you can upgrade it at a Pet Manager to Fenrir mount. It has 10% more P.Def and P.Atk; the rest of the stats are the same. You mount it from the char action panel; the char gets up to +25% Speed.

If your char is in a clan that owns a Clan Hall in Aden or Rune, you can exchange your Great Wolf or Fenrir for Snow Great Wolf. It stands out with white fur. But if you lose the CH or leave the clan, you won’t be able to mount this wolf — you’ll have to go to a Pet Manager and exchange it for a regular one.
