What is spoil?

Spoil (from English “spoil”) is the process of getting resources and items from killed monsters with a special skill that dwarves have, namely Trackers and Spoilers. Spoilers can get extra mats that do not drop the normal way.

What is spoil for?

Spoil lets players get unique ingredients and items that can be used for craft, sale, or upgrading your gear.

Since this is an x1200 project, you will not find A-grade and below items in this article.

Part 1. Prep.

We need two dwarves on different accounts.
create 2 crafters and 2 spoilers on one account and 1 crafter on the other account.
Max dwarf lvl we need is 65-69 – for Craft and spoil.
And dwarves lvl 80-85 – for Crafting S-grade items and spoiling resources.

Dwarf-crafter #1.

Maestro. Level 85.

This dwarf will sit in offline craft in Giran (or any town that is convenient for you) and we need to learn all the recipes we need on him (screenshot below).

Dwarf-spoil #1. Lvl 69. B/A-grade

We level her to 69 – the most comfortable lvl for farming the resources and recipes we need. Gear her in A-grade, don’t forget to buy her a pike and a blunt. Max out inventory with fishing proofs and CRD coins in alt+b services.

Dwarf-spoil #2. Lvl 85. S-grade

Does the main recipe quests and spoils at the same time.
Gear her in a good set, jewelry, a good weapon, farm LS. Max inventory with fishing proofs and CRD in alt+b services.

First of all don’t forget to buy Premium Account in alt+b services:

Regular Premium for 1 day – 20 CRD
Regular Premium for 7 days – 80 CRD
Regular Premium for 30 days – 300 CRD

Buying a premium account gives a bonus in the form of auto-enchant and simplified Life Stone insert.

 

We created our chars, leveled, geared, bought all needed consumables. We go farm recipes for craft.

Part 2. Recipes, key mats. 

Dynasty set 
Getting recipes for Dynasty set is done only through quests. We have three quests that let us get the Dynasty set:

  • Quest: Battle with Evil Spirits. (I recommend this path because it overlaps with the absorber quest for farming souls).
    We go from Schuttgart to Den of Evil. After that we go around the big tower and find NPC named Chairen to take the quest. Then we hunt orcs in the area, collecting the required items.

  • Quest: Rise and Fall of the Elroki Tribe.
    We go from Rune to Primeval Isle Wharf to visit the beach and find NPC named Singsing, who stands next to the teleport point. We take the quest from this pirate, who offers us to hunt dinosaurs living on the island.

    Killing mobs on Dino Island we get bones, which we then exchange for recipes. When you collect the required amount of bones (a thousand, two, three thousand, and so on), go to NPC Karakawei to buy Dynasty recipes via the quest.

    To get to Karakawei you need to run to the end of the island, meet NPC Orahochin there and ask him to teleport you to a separate island to Karakawei 

  • Quest: Raising Caravan Trust Level. 

“Beleth settled here after escaping the dungeons of Ivory Tower. The problem was that this place was far from empty; the natives were a highly developed cultural civilization. So first of all he killed Hannibal — a prophet and oracle who could speak directly to the gods with a third eye and was highly respected among the natives. Deprived of their spiritual leader, the locals soon gave in to Beleth’s promises of wealth and power. Beleth surrounded the island with an impassable magic barrier, and you can only get there through two portals in Heine and at the southern entrance to the Wastelands. The barrier also stops rain clouds coming from the sea…” – a short backstory to get familiar with the Hellbound location.


We fly to Hidden Oasis. The fastest way to get to this location is to use a teleport scroll to Great Beleth. If we don’t have that scroll we need to complete the quest for Hellbound entry. We find NPC Falk and take the quest from him

He will also ask us for Darion’s Marks:

 Which can be farmed not far from the Refugee Village (same place where teleport scrolls to Great Beleth are spoiled). 

After we turn in 20 Darion’s Marks we get Basic Caravan Certificate.
Next we need to upgrade Caravan friendship to level 2, for that we need:
– 30 Mark of Betrayal
– 60 Scorpion Poison Stinger
These items can be farmed from mobs opposite NPC Falk

 

Level 2 lets us trade in the Refugee Village by the oasis. We need this house.

We go down to the basement, then walk to the end of the corridor and turn right. We need NPC Kief


From him for 20 scorpion stingers we buy a bottle that is needed for the third certificate.

After we got the bottle, we go hunt two types of chimeras in Battered Lands. When a chimera has less than 10% HP left, we use the bottle, and from a regular chimera we get Life Force. We need 56 Life Force.

You will notice the drop is not 100%, that is normal, also you will notice that sometimes you get Dim Life Force which we don’t need at all. You can safely delete it.

The second type is Keltus chimeras, which we farm the same way, but their item drop chance is 100%.


We get Contained Life Force. We need 14 of them.
After we collected all items we return to NPC Hude and give him the items, in return he gives us a Hellbound map and the Premium Friendship Certificate. This quest is done, now we can buy Dynasty recipes and pieces.

Moirai set

Pieces and recipes for Moirai set are spoiled in Steel Citadel on several floors. The easiest way into Steel Citadel is through Amaskari’s Call .
To enter the first floor you need a party of at least 2 people, so take a clanmate / 2nd window with you.

On many floors we care about almost all mobs from which you can spoil pieces and recipes for Moirai set.

Vesper set

Seed of Annihilation is a hunting zone for chars lvl 80+, located on the Gracia continent. Dangerous and aggressive monsters live here, which makes the place attractive for hunting. It also has good drop and is a great place for crafting S84 armor and weapons.

After teleporting to Seed of Annihilation we go to the center to NPC Klemis and ask him to let us inside Seed of Annihilation.

After we teleported inside we see three rooms in front of us.

  • Red room – for fighters
  • Blue room – for mystics
  • Green room – for bow/arb

“Frogs” use magic attacks and apply a debuff that drains mana. They are vulnerable to stuns and ignore Hide.

“Chickens” – attack with mass hits, use Fear, and apply a debuff that reduces Casting Spd. They are vulnerable to stun and do not react to Hide.

Part 3. Resources. 

The key element of craft is resources. We get them while hunting, buy them on the market from other players, and can also craft them ourselves. All details are in this section.

Almost all main resources can be obtained through spoil in the Rift, except Thread, which is drop only. Still, we will stack enough Thread while farming the rest of the mats we need.
